SUPERVISION WITH TANYA

Tanya is an experienced and highly sought-after supervisor and works with sex therapists, relationship therapists, counsellors, psychologists and sexological bodyworkers.

She is available by appointment through Zoom and provides in-person supervision in Earlwood, Sydney.

Tanya offers both individual and group supervision. Group supervision currently has a waitlist; register your interest here.

With almost 20 years of industry experience, Tanya specialises in supporting people’s relationships with self, others, and sex, using a somatic approach. Her counselling style is person-centred, and she employs various methodologies to assist clients in exploring their current situation and understanding themselves better, enabling them to make positive changes in their lives.

Tanya also offers coaching on pleasure and the anatomy of arousal, how to communicate about sex and intimacy, and helps individuals looking to enhance their sex life.

THERAPY METHODS USED

Somatic Counselling - you learn faster by doing. Tanya works via the body to create safety, help you tap into your bodies wisdom and learn about pleasure in a practical way.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) – a combination of mindfulness, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and learning how to be present and tune into thoughts and feelings.

Mindfulness – helping you focus on the present (the here and now) to achieve self awareness and positive life and sexual experiences.

Embodiment - working somatically to take you out of your head and into your body.

Gestalt – to help people experience emotions rather than just talk about them.

Existentialism – each person is unique, makes their own choices and shapes their own life.

Phenomenology – what is happening in the here and now.

Transactional Analysis – looking at parent, adult, child relationships within ourselves.

BIO AT A GLANCE

Tanya is the Director of Pleasure Love Relating, a Sex Therapy and Counselling practice. Prior to this Tanya worked as a counsellor for Relationships Australia, as a crisis telephone counsellor for NSW Rape Crisis Centre, and as a telephone counsellor for Impotence Australia.

She lectures and presents to health professionals on how to talk about sex with their patients and delivers workshops on positive sexuality, conscious relating, desire discrepancy, sexual dysfunction, mindfulness and a range of other topics.
